Take the Next Step to Change Your Life

Perhaps you're feeling depressed or anxious. Or striving to achieve happiness or fulfillment despite your many strengths and accomplishments. Maybe you're struggling with long standing patterns that always seem to hold you back, or feel stuck in a relationship that doesn't give you the love and respect you deserve.

Friends and family can help, but working with a well trained, effective and experienced professional might be your best option.

How I Can Help

I am a highly skilled and well-regarded psychologist with over thirty years of experience. Most importantly, I’m a warm, kind, relatable and compassionate human being. If you choose to work with me you will be in good hands.

For decades I have been assisting people in achieving emotional health, vitality, and well being. My clients are typically successful and educated, but might be struggling to break free of self defeating behaviors or beliefs, or seeking help with family, career, or relationship issues.

I listen deeply, gently and intuitively while at the same time remaining very active, engaged and dynamic.

Life is often not easy. I offer you my skill, compassion and professionalism in tackling your problems and achieving your goals.

I am a well trained and highly skilled clinical psychologist with a thriving private practice that I have maintained for over thirty years. I received a Masters (with Honors) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology through the well respected Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, following a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. Both my pre and post-doctoral training included an intensive child/pediatric track.

I maintain a few specialties and areas of intensive focus. These include helping college, graduate, and professional students in becoming thriving adults, psychoanalytic and depth psychology, and cognitive behavioral treatment of OCD, anxiety, and insomnia.

While I can tell you that my theoretical approach is broadly relational and psychoanalytic, meaning that I like to get to the root of your problems, it’s more important for you to know that I’m warm, kind, active, and very much alive with my clients! I’m not at all rigid or wedded to any particular school. Over the years, I have intensively studied cognitive-behavioral, Buddhist, and trauma informed therapies.

I am frequently honored to be the therapist of other psychologists, therapists, and mental health professionals. On a personal note, I love the outdoors and am a passionate road and mountain biker and downhill skier. I have a background in film and TV, love good movies, especially foreign and indies, and am writing a screenplay that I am planning to produce.
